Cyra had no trouble as she walked down the long, winding, road from the Priest Cathedral to the Elven Port City of Havenstad. There was some snow on the sides of the road, but the worst of winter was now passing. The sun was shining through the leafless trees, warming Cyra as she walked.
After two days of traveling, she reached Havenstad. The gates were open and an Elf guard collected her name as she passed through. The city was bustling with movement as people hurried down the streets. Elves weren't the only people on the streets, however. There were sailors of all kinds of races. Some were carrying large bags, others boxes, and some carried nothing. It was apparent that ships were unloading their cargo.
It shouldn't be too difficult for Cyra to find her ship, The Commercianté. All she had to do was go the the harbour and ask for directions...

'Um... excuse me could you-' she began to ask a man carrying boxes but he merely ignored her and walked off. She turned towards another person, a woman this time, and began to ask her. 'Hello, i was wondering if you could tell me were i would be able to find a ship named The Commerciante?' The harbour defiantly was interesting, but the fact that so many people from different races, were gathered in one place made her uneasy. She wanted to get on the ship and leave.

The human woman looked sourly at Cyra. "Check the warf," she said bluntly, then continued on her way. Farther up ahead, there seemed to be a commotion. As Cyra neared the scene, she saw two burly sailors clubbing eachother with their fists. Two boxes lay overturned in the street, their contents spilling out. Bystanders were quickly snatching up the contents.m

Cyra watched them as they fought. She saw the others steal. 'Please stop!' she called out to the two sailors. She went over to the boxes, and began to put their contents back inside. She swatted other people who tried to steal the things, and told them that their actions were wrong. As all the contents were back in the boxes she pushed both boxes towards the fighting men. 'Please stop... fighting will not get anything done...' she said to them, but in reality she was scared. She had never actually experienced a situation like this, but hoped she was doing the right thing.

One of the sailors spun around, fist raised as if he was going to punch Cyra. He stopped in mid-blow when he saw she was a priestess. The other sailor took advantage of the opening and struck his opponent in the chin, sending him sprawling to the ground. "Yeah, well it makes me feel better!" he shouted at Cyra, though he was looking down at the first sailor. The sailor who had almost hit Cyra rolled to his feet in a rage and leapt at the green sailor once more, ignoring Cyra now.m

Cyra lifted her head and saw that the sailors were fighting once more. 'STOP IT!' she yelled at them and rose to her feet. 'So beating one another makes you feel better?! So hurting people makes you feel good about yourself?! ' Her tone wasn't angry, but more concerned and desperate. She'd hated to see others fight. 'Think about your actions... Is it really alright for you to hit one another just so you can feel better? If God could see you now... he would surely be sad...' She clasped her hands together and lowered her head. Kindness to others, was the first thing she had been taught. To think that people could hit each other just so they could feel good... it saddened her greatly. She had really become a different person since Oswin had taken her in.

The two men stopped briefly to look at Cyra. Finally one stepped forwards and pointed an accusing finger at the other. [yellow]"He tripped me on purpose!"[/yellow] [green]"You tripped yourself on your own clumsy feet,"[/green] the other sailor retorted. [yellow]"I demand you pay for all the lost and damaged goods!"[/yellow] [green]"So do I!"[/green]

"Please!" She spoke again, calming the sailors down. She sighed. 'i will pay for the damage... if you two do not fight and forgive each other.'

[yellow]"There's no chance of that!"[/yellow] he snorted. [yellow]"I'm not going to forgive him, and I want him to pay for it, not you.[/yellow]
[green]"I'm going to report you to my captain and then there'll be a feud. You can be sure of that!"[/green] He picked up the large crate and started to walk off.
[yellow]"If there's a feud, the Commercianté will blast your ship right out of the water!"[/yellow] he shouted after him.

Cyra was going to call after the man, but she somehow knew her words wouldn't get to him. Oh Oswin... why couldn't you have been here with me!!! she felt so lost. She bowed her head and said a brief prayer, hoping that there wouldn't be a feud. She then turned to the other sailor and walked up to him 'Excuse me... You wouldn't happen to be a crew member of the Commerciante would you?' she asked. 'I am a priestess of the Priest guild...I am supposed to board the ship the Commerciante and go to Xion Dong..'

[yellow]The sailor looked Cyra up and down. "Aye, that's my ship. But I didn't know you were going to be a passenger." The sailor seemed to grow more pleasant after a moment. The memory of what happened seemed to just disappear. He bent down and picked up his crate. "You can tag along if you want. I have to deliver this, then I'm heading back to the Commercianté."
He began to walk down the street, ignoring the people who were still watching him. "You know, a woman on a ship is bad luck, but a Priestess on a ship, I might just consider as good luck," he said over his shoulder. [/yellow]m

Cyra began to follow him, as she didnt know where else to go. She smiled at his comment 'Preistess or not, im still the same as everyone else...' she scratched her elfen ears slightly and ran her fingers through her orange hair. It had grown longer which had pleased her very much. at least i look slightly more like a dark elfen girl... she thought, but then pulled her mind away from such thoughts.

"Well, then maybe you will be bad luck, after all," the sailor grunted. "Well, time will tell." They arrived at the market where the sailor sold the remainder of his goods for half-price. Then they started for the docks.
[yellow]"There she is, up there," the sailor said, pointing to a fairly large, two masted merchant vessel. "She's got 8 balistai, and that's plenty for a merchant ship. She rules the waters, she does. No one ever attempts to attack her because she's so well armed." The sailor turned, suddenly. "What's your name, anyway? I'm Friso."[/yellow]

[yellow]"Well met," he said with a grin. "Aye, she is. Probably the best there is." He started walking towards the dock the Commercianté was docked at. "Follow me, and I'll make sure the captain knows you'll be aboard."[/yellow]
