Seraphin hiked towards the Mage Guild House, heading back after seeing her sister's grave in Adenwar because of the anniversary of her death. She had found a home in the Mage Guild, and now that she owned it, she was going to stay for a while, to see the new members. That involved a hike up the mountains.
But first she had to travel through Das Duul. She hoped the trees wouldn't attack, because that would leave her with less energy to travel up the mountains. But if they did, she could burn them with magic. She wished she had bought a dagger or sword in Adenwar, or even a better staff, all her's was good for was a walking stick at the moment. Especially a fire sword, that she could use to melt the thick snow that came through the little amount of tree cover there was, with them moving so much.
A cat rubbed around her ankles and mewed hoarsely. "I'm sorry little cat, I don't have much myself. If you follow me, I might have something for you at the Guild House."

Aiden Kelley found himself sitting in the back of yet another wagon. A small convoy of wagons and a fancy horse-drawn coach had passed through Adenwar on route to Minas Rithes and generously agreed to let Aiden ride along. What was in Lebonwaith? He didn't know himself. Maybe better business. It wasn't easy stealing from elves when they all look so much different from you.
The wagons found a worn trail and took to it greedily. They were passing through outskirts of the Uncharted, hoping to save some time instead of going around. It was probably why they let him come along. Better to have a strong young lad with in case your wagon train is ambushed by goblins.
Out in the distance he thought he could see someone walking towards them. Heading into the mountains? No, must be lost.

Seraphin looked forward. Wagons? she thought Going through Das Duul? They must not know the trees are alive. She blinked a couple times, wondering if the cold was getting toher. It was still there. She walked towards a wagon with an open back, it was moving towards her. She saw a muscled lad sitting in the back. He must be their guard from thieves. She went to ask him where the wagons were headed.
"Sir, where are those wagons headed to? It's uncommon to see anything moving through here," she said curiously.

Aiden looked her over once. "We're headin' south teh Minas Rithes." He called back as the wagon slowly passed. It was freezing outside. He wondered why she was out there. After a second he hopped off of the wagon and started walking towards her. The wagons stopped as someone from the back called ahead because a wheel had come loose.

"Oh, I don't think so. But in Minas Rithes, it should be nice out at least. Defintely better than this forest, or the mountains," she yelled back, getting closer to the mountains. Than she noticed the wagons teeter ominously, and a wheel come loose. She unconsciously walked forward, and said,"Do you need any help with that?"

"It's just a wheel, girl. Please let us handle it." One of them called as he hopped from the wagon. He had a handful of tools.
Aiden caught up to her. "What're yeh doin' so far out here?"

"Heading to my Guild House. I gotta welcome the new mages," Seraphin said. She was surprised he had willing left the wagons for a stranger. The cat seemed to like him though, rubbing against him, and leaving Seraphin's side.

"Your Guild House? Are you the head Mage?" He looked down at the cat, raising his eyebrow for a second. "Is this little beast yours too?"

"The cat found me, and i'm the guild master, but I guess I have to keep it," Seraphin replied, slightly cheerful. She picked the cat up, and it purred and sat on her shoulder. "Wish I had something to feed it with."

"I'm sorry. I'd find you some food but, these wagons are not mine. I'm just catching a ride." He looked behind her at the direction she was taking. "Do you have much of a long walk ahead of you?"

"A hike, but not really," Seraphin looked back at him. "I didn't catch your name. I'm Seraphin Nebane."

"Most people call me Aiden Kelley. It's good to meet you Seraphin." The wagons started moving again, threatening to leave him behind. "I've got to run. Maybe we shall meet again." He nodded to her and went to get back on the wagon.
Soon they were out of sight.

Seraphin waved and walked on. She was about to head into the mountains. She focused, because there were Icewind Goblin camps all over. The cat even seemed tense. Seraphin grasped her staff tightly, and began the hike. ((End of topic)
