Health Points (HP)
Health Points are you characters life points. Without HP, your character would be dead. The maximum amount of HP your character may have at any given time is determined by their Level. At Level 1, a character has a maximum of 20 HP. As you rise in Guild Rank, your HP rises by 10 HP per level.
Guildless/Independant = 20 HP
Apprentice = 20 HP
Orderly = 30 HP
Guildsman = 40 HP
Elder = 50 HP
Guild Master = 60HP
When you lost HP in battle, you must go to your profile page and change your HP to the amount you have (i.e. If you lose 5 HP when attacked, go to Profile and change HP to 15/20).
HP can be regenerated two ways: potions, healers:
Potions, the most common form of healing, is simple and easy. Simply purchase a healing potion (see item description) and send the Force of Nature a PM saying you wish to use that potion. The Force of Nature will take your potion from your inventory and only then may you increase your HP the respective amount. You may not sell the potion back to the Shop and then increase your HP.
Healers, the second most common, are easy to find. You can easily go to a tavern or wander the streets looking for one. Simply ask and they will probably heal you as much as they can.
Mastery Points (MP)
Mastery Points reflect your character's proficiency in their respective class. A highly skilled thief has a high Max MP, while a weak sorcerer has a low Max MP. The maximum amount of MP your character may have at any given time is determined by your character's rank in their guild. An Apprentice has a Max MP of 10, while a Guild Master has a Max MP of 90. Your Max MP is increased by increments of 20 as your ranking increases in your guild.
When performing any sort of action involving your class specialties, you must use MP. Meaning, if you are a Bard and are attempting to play a beautiful melody, the amount of MP you choose to use determines how beautiful that melody truly is. If you are a Sorcerer and are trying to burn a village down, the amount of MP you choose to use determines how large/powerful the fire is.
If you use MP during a battle, when that battle is officially declared over, you recover all, but only, the MP you have used during the battle. There is only one way to recover MP used outside of battle: Mastery Training threads. Mastery Training threads are similar to Rest Threads, however instead of describing how your character is relaxing and tending to their injuries, you must describe how your character is training and bettering themselves in their respective specialties. Increase your MP by one point for every line of original RP you have that involves training.
