Name: Saren Asentirus
Alias/Nickname: Saren(to those he knows personally or sees on equal plane to him) Asentirus(to his enemies, and those who he doesn’t know personally)
Race: Human
Class: Sorcerer
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Age: 122 (Appears late 30s)
Appearance: Asentirus has self inflicted scars on his right hand palm in the shape of four mystic symbols, of which not a lot is known except that they are arranged in a square. The only other noticable scar is a long slash going up his back, this being the only unintentional one. Asentirus has a tattoo of a sorcerer incantation symbol for flame on the back of his neck. About the size of a bottle cap, it is not visible at a glance.
This Sorcerer has a strange quality in that he has an incredibly captivating stare. His eyes have an uncomforting gaze, it can make you feel the need to continue looking, yet make you feel incredibly uncomfortable at this same time. Seemingly demonic in nature, Asentirus has been able to use his gaze to avoid unwanted encounters.
Generally being tall in appearance and slim, he has a very authorative look, and would seem to be a leading figure in conflict. With his pale white skin, long black hair and medium sized black beard, Asentirus isn’t the kind of person you would want to meet down a dark alley.

History: Saren Asentirus was born into an aristocratic family in the richer districts of Minas Rithes. Renos, Saren's father, was known for partaking in less than reputable deals, and so quite a suspicious character in the city at the time. Saren was the first and only son to this powerful family, and so went through the early stages of his life relatively easily and quite spoilt. At the age of 6, Saren underwent a traumatic experience, of a huge scale. The mayor of the city, felt it neccesary for the upper echelons of the city's society to be purged of corrupt officials to prevent an uprising in Minas Rithes, so that the city become a more respectable place. At midnight, sometime during September, soldiers burst into the Asentirus family mansion, dragging Saren's father away, ready for his public execution the next day. He never saw his father again after that night. For the next 10 years Saren was raised solely by his mother, Lana. She was a rather well learned individual, teaching Saren the basic concepts of the economy of the time, and general education of books and the history of the great Kingdom of Lebonwaith's past and the importance of self preservation.
Saren was very well educated at the time of the ceasing of his education. Some might say it was just in time too, on the eve of his 17th birthday, his mother died in her sleep. Saren, could never truly accept his mother's death. Though it was stated as disease, the intelligent 17 year old had his doubts. The Asentirus family estate, and the business passed to his Uncle on his mother's side. His Uncle himself wasn't a bad person, but Saren never truly felt he could connect with someone other than his mother. Saren stayed with his uncle for another year before leaving to join the a group of scholars later that year.
The next few years of his life Saren spent studying ancient cultures and magical artifacts of the world, and trying to chart and catalogue the extent of their power. The most significant of these discoveries was one in the middle of The Burning Desert of Mordoc. The discovery of an artifact pulsing with dark magic had been uncovered and it was Saren’s job to record the fluxings in the power it emitted. However to the great surprise of the scholars the location of the dark artifact was the home to a small tribe of Goblins who, taking the scholars by surprise, killed the men down to the last man, excluding Saren who was trapped in the artifact chamber. Believing his death to be close, he decided he might as well try to absorb any power he could from the artifact that might give him a small chance at resisting the Goblin attacks. The energy in the artifact wasn’t normal however, it had a plan. Seeing Saren as a vessel, it left it’s stone artifact anchor and manifested itself fully in Saren’s body, who now provided the energy, a walking transport system. In return the energy inside him gave him unlimited access to its power. Combined with his scholarly intelligence, he managed to develop an affinity with the energy, letting him manifest the power much like a Sorcerer would. With ease he slaughtered the Goblins that stood before him and made his way from the Desert.
Soon after the desert incident, Saren joined himself with the Guild of Sorcerers where he learned the ability to control his power with greater focus, and increase it beyond its potential. The Elders of the guild spotted his innate power and decided with greater training and assistance he could become a great asset to the guild. He spent most of his life in the seclusion of his own section of the guild, closely developing his powers with only himself for company. Eventually, he realised he had a large enough control over his energy that he could become an Elder of the guild of sorcerers. Seeing his potential, the other Elders and Guild Master hastily accepted.
However, Saren couldn’t settle there. Heeding his mother’s words from so long ago, he cared only for his own self preservation, and so within a short time Saren challenged the Guild Master himself for rule of the guild. The current Guild Master was an incredible foe, yet Saren still seemed to have little trouble in defeating him with his innate energies, and so became the new Guild Master of the Sorcerer’s guild. With access to the knowledge of the previous Guild Masters he obtained a new level of mastery over his power in the short time he has been Guild Master. With this new level of power secured, Saren started the search for another well of magic that he could leech energy from, to gain an even greater level of power.
