When performing a pickpocket maneuver or stealing an item, the thief:
1. Rolls a die
2. Adds Agility
3. Adds Skill Points that Thieves automatically get when stealing depending on rank in the Thief Guild.
Apprentice +2 point Orderly +3 Point Guildsman +4 Points Elder +5 Points GM +6 Points
The person being stolen from does the same. except gets no bonus.
For example, Hank the Thief tried to loot Tom the Merchant.
Hank (Guildsman): 5 Agility + [dice=6] + 4 Guilds bonus = 12
Tom (Poor Merchant): 2 Agility + [dice=6] + 0 Bonus = 7
Hank successfully steals from Tom!
If item being stolen is gold, minus the difference between a successful attack and the defenders defense. 12 - 7 = 5 5 + (10)(Guild Bonus) = 45 gold stolen by Hank!
But if Hank misses, he is found trying to steal from Tom and Tom has the right to fight him, sissy slap him, and perhaps hit him with a large blunt object.
