Elyira looked at Rissterus in suprise. He was asking her to acompany him on a journey all the way across Adenwar, Lebonwaith, Dormev, and into the uncharted regions. All because she was a bard and knew a little of the Sanctuary of the Broken. Like it used to be a temple but was destroyed by the dark powers.
That explains why there's a priest, then, she thought. She looked at Rissterus who was still waiting for her answer. She had always longed for something like this to happen. A chance for adventure. But now that it was here, she hesitated. Why? I've always wanted this. This is a chance you only get once. For good or ill, i'll take it. She looked up at Rissterus with her eyes set with determination. "I will."

A smile came over Rissterus' face. "Good. How soon will you be ready?" He realized she knew hardly anything of what they were doing or where they were going, and still she said she would go. That pleased him. He would explain more on the road. Still, there was the problem of Oswin. Would he arrive? Or wouldn't he? If Elyira needed more time to pack, than she would buy Oswin more time to show up. That's great for him, I guess. Rissterus still wanted to leave early, but he would give Elyira as much time as was reasonable.

Elyiravëra was half startled by the question. She hadn't realized that they would have to leave right away. Well of course. He said they would start as soon as the priest arrived. She quickly thought of the few things she would want to bring. "It shouldn't take me that long. I'll start right away," she said getting up from the table. She made her way across the tavern and up towards the stairs to the second floor where the rooms were. She went to ger room and started packing several pairs of clothes, her harp, and her other belongings into a traveling pack. About ten minutes later, she came back down. "I'm ready," she said to Rissterus.

As soon as the elf left the room, Rissterus stood. He went to the door and opened it. He went outside and looked around. There were no signs of life out yet, though the sun was casting rays of light around the countryside. "Where is that priest?" Rissterus said aloud. He turned and re-entered the Tavern, closing the door behind him.
He paced about the room as he waited for either Oswin to enter the tavern or Elyira to come down. The fire was back to a normal size once more and he sat down and looked into it. Eventually Elyira came down. He turned. "Good, it is time to leave. I guess the priest isn't coming."

"A-all right," Elyira said hesitantly. The priest wasn't coming? Suddenly she was more wary of going. If it were to be only her and Rissterus, she wasn't so sure she wanted to go, after all. She had thought that with a priest there, the danger of the Sorcerer would be somewhat lessened. I guess I'll still go. There's nothing else to do. "Are you sure he hasn't just been delayed?"

Eventually, Oswin left the Cathedral again and was able to make his way all the way to the Tavern. Seeing nobody on the outside, he made his way up to the door and pusehd it open. Rissterus and an elf girl he did not know stood inside. Oswin looked from one to the other then spoke to Rissterus. "I'm afraid I had a matter to attend to which could not be put off. But I am here now, and I am ready to go." Oswin looked once more at Elyiravëra. She looked like she was coming too. Oswin probably would've been against this, but he actually wasn't lookng forward to travelling with the Sorcerer alone. If she was coming, then that would be a pleasant change.

Rissterus looked over at Oswin the moment he entered. They were both silent for a moment and just looked at eachother. Oswin was also looking at Elyira. "Your late," Rissterus said simply. "I was going to go on without you." [black]"I'm afraid I had a matter to attend to which could not be put off. But I am here now, and I am ready to go."[/black] Rissterus was still displeased with Oswin, but he wasn't going to delay the journey any further by just telling Oswin off. "This is Elyira. She's going to come with us," Oswin said as he started to walk towards the door.

Elyira turned and stared at Oswin as he entered. She thought it funny that she had just asked the Sorcerer if he Oswin could've just been delayed. She waited for them to speak, not wanting to break the silence herself. When Rissterus told Oswin he was late and Oswin replied, Rissterus introduced her. She smiled at Oswin. "And I actually don't know your name yet, either," she spoke to Oswin.

Oswin returned her smile. "I am Oswin. It is a pleasure to make your aquantance," he said truthfully. He could tell Rissterus was angry with him, but he didn't care. It would burn off, especially when they started to go. So I was right. She is going with us. I still wished he told me first, Oswin thought. He assumed that she and Rissterus had already met and were going on the journey together even before Oswin came into the picture.

"Enough with the pleasantries," Rissterus interupted. "You can do that on the road." He shouldered his pack and opened the door to the Tavern. Outside the sun was now up and the new light spilled over the land. The air was still cold and Rissterus could see his breath. He had wanted to be away from the populated areas by now. He hoped they would slip away unnoticed, but now people would be starting their day now. Rissterus started walking away from the tavern, using his staff as a walking stick. *exit* (( I'll make the next thread )) [Continued HERE]

Elyiravëra looked over at Rissterus as he started to leave. She looked over at Oswin with a "whatever" look, readjusted her pack and followed him out of the Tavern. *exit*

Oswin's pack was already well-placed on his shoulders and he merely followed Elyira out of the Tavern. Rissterus led them at a brisk pace and Oswin wondered what his reason for doing so was - apart from making up for lost time. *exit*
