Paige quietly walked through the meadow, her destination the small stream that ran through the large open field. Right now, she was stressed and she needed to take her mind off things. The sound of the water always did that for her. She sighed as she approached the streamm and sat down, slipping her boots off and dipping her feet in the cool water.

Seraphin stood at the other side of the river, looking around. She had come looking for a quiet place to build a small cottage. She had found the meadow a great place to do so. Seraphin had decided to do so the next morning, and seeing the young girl across the river had then decided to sit down and think about things.

Paige looked up at the woman, not expecting anyone else to be at the river. "Oh, hello." She smiled. "Am I bothering you?" She questioned.

"No, I thought I might have been bothering you. My name is Seraphin Nebane, and I am a mage of the Mage Guild, what's your name?", Seraphin asked politely. The girl didn't have to tell Seraphin if she didn't want to, and Seraphin was just plain curious.

"My name is Paige Wilson, an elf of the Ranger guild." She replied. "You aren't bothering me one bit." She smiled. "IT's nice to have some company."

"It is a lot better than the way i've been treated lately. Some of the people around here can be very rude. I'm glad to find someone as kind as you seem.", Seraphin sat down on the grass. She then proceeded to loose the ribbon that held her long, blue hair back.

Xylas had been at that area for a long time. Wondering, where could he get the money, just a little bit of extra gold wouldn't hurt at all. But no, he would have to steal from anyone. He had been lying on the tree branches for quite sometime. He had been overhearing the anonymous conversation and decided to not care about such feeble activity.

Seraphin heard something. "Paige, did you hear that? I think there's someone in the trees." She was kind of annoyed that someone would listen in on their conversation without at least making a remark. "Show yourself."

Clearly, this mage had keen senses. How, he did not know, but no matter. He is not intimidated by petty invitations. Xylas just layed down still hidden in the trees and with his young voice.
"I'm sorry, but I'm just sleeping on the branches, you girls just continue your girl talk or whatever. I'm trying to sleep, so good day."
But Xylas did not sleep, he was waiting, for an opportunity.

"Hmph. Then get back to sleep.", Seraphin didn't trust the voice in the bushes one bit, but if it was a child she couldn't very well hurl a fire bolt at him. "Ah, but before you get comfortable, what is your name?"

"Kenny. Now continue talking, I wanna sleep."
Xylas could not help but release a smile while shaded under the tree's majestic leaves. He still had to find a healer. Clearly, from their words none of them could, his injuries still stop part of his flexibility, making it hard for him to move around quickly.

Seraphin shrugged,"I'm sorry, you sounded like someone I knew, from a while back."

There were voices from the meadow. A keen sense of sight from a crow high above caught a scene near a stream. Two elves below, and possibly a third. A Ranger and a Magic-user by the looks of the two. The Mage was looking off towards a thick grove of trees which the prying eyes could not see into. There was someone in there none-the-less. The crow turned in the air, catching a warm updraft and soaring slowly into the clouds.
Elsewhere, nearby...
A thick-skinned beast with a heavy war-club stretched out its hairy arm. The bird fluttered its wings in a flurry as it landed. The beast looked it in the eye. The crow opened its beak and let out a short series of squaw and keck. The bull-like creature seemed to understand and blew a white cloud from its nostrels in the chilly wind. It made not a sound. A pair of elves and a possible third.
It began to march through the heavy brush as the crow took flight again. Two hairy IceWind Goblins followed. They headed towards the meadow.

Xylas felt it was as if something was calling out to him. He's rune, again, his lust for power. It was ravishing against him inside his body again. He had the urge to steal now. And paired with the urge to kill. But nonetheless, Xylas had control over his body, he was hurt, making his body easier to control but his injuries sometimes made his mind unstable. But wishing to continue sleeping, he closed his eyes. But he couldn't rest. Not until his wounds were healed.
"Good night, ladies."

Seraphin was extremely confused by what had happened. But she didn't dwell on it. So she looked at Paige. "That child was weird. A lot of things have changed since I lived here."
