Oswin planted his quarterstaff firmly on the ground and lifted himself up, flinging himself forwards like a polevaulter when he landed he started running, having already gained momentum.

The arrows fell on the road, several plunging deep into the remaining goblin's chest, legs, and neck area. Even the first Goblin, trying desperately to get to his feet, is hit several times and pinned to the dirt road. The Troll howls as a half dozen of the whistling killers pierce its thick skin. More than one is immediately pulled out like a small but hindering sliver in one's finger.
Oswin runs, seeing the gates open to his arrival. He leaps, once more showing his athletic prowess, as the large rectangular door begins to rise back to its place, pulled by a series of thick black iron chains. He tucks and rolls as he hits the dirt. As he comes to a stop he looks back to see the gates closed and that he is safe from the beast for now. As he gets up and brushes himself off, he begins to look for the Inn where the wounded priest lays in need of Oswin's help.

Oswin looked around. He hoped that the gate would hold against the troll, or that they could kill it. He began to walk down the street in search of the inn. His wounds hurt terribly but he kept going.

Eventually the noise outside died down as the beast either escaped or was slain. The Inn was close-by. As he approached he was met by a soft face of a blonde inn-keeper. She guided him inside. "What can you do for him? Please he's been asleep since yesterday morning."

Oswin followed her in until he was brought to the priest's bedside. He looked at the arrow wound, then back up at the inn keeper. "I believe I can heal him, but I myself am wounded as well."

She was looking at the poor brother Buulstus. She didn't even hear Oswin's words. "His wound is festering. He could have been poinsoned!" There was a hint of desperation in her voice. "Please... help him."

Oswin placed his hand over the wound and prayed a silent prayer. Light shone forth from his palm onto the wound, and it began to slowly heal from the holy light.

Slowly Buulstus' wound began to heal. However, once it had closed up entirely, it became apparent that all was not well. Oswin's hope of leaving the port city alone and returning faded. He had hoped to leave Buulstus and Columbanis to their work here in Acre. But there was something about the healed wound that just didn't look right. The area around the wound was black and still festering, though Oswin had already healed him.
He would have to consult the archives back in Adenwar. He decided for Buulstus be put on the back of a wagon and politely asked the Innkeeper where he could aquire one. She kindly offered her family's own but asked they stay the night as it was getting dark rapidly outside. The road was dangerous at dusk and she worried for their safety.

Oswin was getting worried about the journey back to Adenwar. Trolls and Goblins shouldn't normally be out roaming the land unhindered... He thanked the Inn Keeper for her kindness and told her he would set out in the morning. He then left the inn and made his way to the city gate. He looked for a sentry to inquire the result of the skirmish. Had the Troll been killed? What of the Goblins? He wanted to know if they were slain.

Oswin had happened upon the commanding sentry. "My scouts found the bodies of four Goblins. IceWind by the looks of them. Probably from the mountains. Maybe half of them were dead before our archers were in position. The troll happened to escape once the gates were closed up. It's best you stay holed up in here for now."

Oswin shook his head. "No, that is not possible. I must get my fellow priest back to Adenwar. He is wounded and must return home as soon as may be. Do you know how many are still out there?"
Oswin didn't want to wait till they were sure he would be safe. He was too worried about Buulstus' wound.

[yellow]"Its impossible to be sure. I believe Minas Rithes is sending out a party to hunt down the tribe that wandered into Lebonwaith." He looked up at a watch tower where someone was yelling down for him. "Excuse me, father." He went inside and went upstairs.[/yellow]

Oswin watched him leave then looked over the wall. The plains outside the city were partially covered with snow. It wasn't snowing then, but he could see his breath in a cloud in front of him. Well, he would just have to hope he didn't run into anything on the way back to Adenwar. He headed down the stairs and made his way back to the inn.
~~ The Next Day ~~ (provided nothing happens)
Oswin awoke early and went to the local shop. He bought some Dragon Blood and another bottle of Zaju Venom, using some of the money from the Cathedral's Treasury. (-75 gold to the Priest Treasury) He then drank the Dragon Blood and the first bottle of Zaju Venom. He had a second bottle of Zaju Venom for the road, now. Oswin took Buulstus in the the Innkeeper's own wagon and began the journey back to Adenwar. As he passed through the city gates, he gulped in the fresh air, and prayed for safe passage.

The journey went quickly. It was mid-day before they stopped in a small village to rest the horses. Columbanis had opted to come along in case the Archbishop needed any help with Brother Buulstus. He got off of the carraige first. Buulstus moaned quietly. "We shouldn't stay long, Father Oswin. Brother Buulstus is getting worse..."
He didn't even have time to answer. There was a scream and several loud noises down the small street. The village couldn't have had more than thirty people living there, and they just lost two. The Troll was back, this time alone, and he was coming straight for the carraige.

Oswin jumped off the carriage. "Take the carriage and flee to Adenwar! I'll find my own way!" he shouted to Columbanis. Oswin spun his staff and held it in a more agressive stance. As the troll approached, Oswin leapt to meet it.
He sidestepped the troll's frontal swing and hit him across the knee as hard as he could.
