As Z walks into the tavern, he noticed more than a few pairs of eyes shift upon him.Being dressed in complete white, most people would have recognized him as an assassin. He realized this was a place of friendship and merrymaking, not a place an assassin should be. He was hoping someone was done wrong in this place and desired justice. Z walked over to the barkeep and sat down. People saw he wasn't here to kill someone, so they relaxed and ignored him as any other person. "I don't want any trouble here, Assassin" "And don't expect any. Have you heard of anyone needing a job? I'm sure someone here was robbed or injured by someone." "Hold that thought" The barkeep turned to serve a large group of drinkers who just walked into the door. Seeing that the barkeep would be busy for a while, he turned in his chair and watched the people chat and the dancers, well, dance.

Altaiir watched from his table in the corner. He didn't recognize the man who just came in. He has never seen him before. He felt the slight burning of anger deep inside him as he went through the possibilities as to how this intruder aquired the robes of his guild. He listened to the man speak whom was not far away. You do not take your own jobs. He thought, glaring at the man. Obviously not of his guild. He would have to be silenced...

Taj had been sitting at the bar an overheard the conversation between the newcomer & the bartendor..
He stood up leaving his drink & sat down next to the newcomer..
"Your looking for work?.. How much do you charge?.." Taj said in a low voice.. Knowing fully well that it was more than likely someone was listening.. He would play his cards right so as not to end up on the down side of the great game..

Z nodded over to the barkeep."Good day, sir." He took a chair next to the man. "I want a background check on him. I don't kill anyone who doesn't deserve it." Z glanced left to right, making sure he wasn't being set up by another bounty hunter. "If your target isn't a criminal, you will want to look for someone else for the job. I'll charge 75 gold, if he's not a problem to take out. I have a problem with liars, so try to be somewhat truthful to me."

Taj rubbed his eye's with his hands.. He pulled his hair away from his face and looked at the Assassin, "hmm" He said as he thought.. He tapped the bar & the bartendor poured him a glass of whisky..
Taj stood taking his glass..
"Farewell."
Taj made for the stairs retreating to his room.. His brain ticking away with what to do about his current dilemma.m

"heh, so much for trying to be the good guy." Z leaned back into his chair, resting before he decides where he's going to search next for a job.

Z rose from his chair. For once he felt calm, until he saw something that both startled and irritated him. He laid his eyes upon a warrior in white garb, drinking a cup of ale. From past experience, he came across these Guild Assassins, and they always were after him. He knew that this warrior saw him, but the assassin did a good job of not showing it. Knowing that he would be attacked as soon as now one is around, he walked up to Alsair, avoiding eye contact.
"Outside, behind the inn. Don't let these people get involved."
Z was unsure whether the assassin payed attention, would follow his instructions, or even not attempt to attack him because he lost his ability to do a surprise attack. Nevertheless, Z left the inn, went around back and waited, dagger ready.

Z laughed at himself. Seeing that he was foolish, and no assassin would attack without the element of surprise, he should have known that he wouldn't be attacked. Once he realized his stupidity, he relaxed. He decided to head to the great elm. Z had heard that someone he once knew was rumored to be wandering there. "Time to pay him a visit"...*Exit*
