The handle of Taj's sword struck the Goblin leader in the vizor. He stumbled back, swinging his weapon blindly at Taj to keep him away.

The first IceWind goblin, the one Retuke severely wounded, came towards Taj, clutching his hand to his head. He swung his crude weapon weakly at the fierce warrior.

The goblin rolled over and tried to stab up at the Mage.

Z the Slayer VS IceWind 04
Another IceWind came up, skirting around Taj, and ran towards the newly appeared enemy. He leapt into the air, swinging down at the assassin.

Taj managed to stun the Icewind Leader who screamed in pain as he stumbled back temporarily blind he swung his blade randomly at Taj..

Taj took this moment graciously & with his left hand pulled out a Vile of Zaju venom from his pocket, popping the cork he down the vile's green contents in one mouthful.. The taste was terrible but already he felt the rush of addrennalin pump through his veins..

He saw an attack coming from the right and rolled into it he used his sword to deflect the Icewind Leader's blade & his elbow cracked into the temple of the already dazed Icewind Goblin

Taj managed to deflect the IceWind Leaders blind attacks but he was coming back to his senses.. The Icewind Goblin had taken the blow of Taj's elbow but pain shot through his arm as the hit connected.. Not sure whether the blood running down his arm was his own or the goblins he quickly took an oppurtunity to strike again at the Icewind Leader.. He faked an attack at the knee's then quickly brang his sword up, around and back down at an arc aimed at the Icewind Leaders exposed neck.

Thankfully Z took out that goblin in a single blow. Malick strung his bow once more. It appeared Taj was having some trouble.

Immediately after his arrow shot out, another goblin dashed out at Malick. In one fluid motion, Malick pulled out an arrow and sunk it between the Stickhand's chin and neck. Retuke stepped away from the attack, stricking his staff to the ground in order to block it as well.

The blade came in at an angle and sliced through Retuke's robe, drawing blood from his leg. He inhaled deeply through clenched teeth. A flash of anger appeared in Retuke's eyes and he lifted his staff, spun it twice, and brought it whacking the Goblin in the side of the head on the second spin.

Goblin's Turn

This group of travelers seemed to be doing an awful lot of damage for the Goblin's comfort. 3 StickHands and 2 IceWind Goblins turn and flee. The rest of the IceWind Goblins attack with even more ferocity, angry that they are being beaten in their home territory. One IceWind climbed onto the Caravan from the other side, but was suddenly thrust off, a javelin in his throat. Mafasa seemed to be able to handle himself well enough.

The rest of the StickHands began closing in on the front fighters, while the IceWinds pushed passed them towards those in the rear.


Taj VS IceWind Leader
Bleeding heavily and weary from battle, the IceWind Leader struck one last blow at Taj, then began to try to retreat. His life meant more to him than his honor.

Another Goblin pushed past Taj and leapt for Retuke. He howled as he came at the Mage, swinging his rusted weapon at Retuke's stomach.

A Goblin ran alongside the caravan, skirting around the other warriors, and launched himself at Malick, determined to bring down the Ranger.

A Goblin came up to assist the IceWind leader. He struck at Taj with his spear, though he was careful not to hit his leader.

[Retuke]

The Goblin's neck broke under the power of Retuke's strike. He quickly took the moment to reach inside the folds of his robes and withdraw a small vial of Zaju Venom. He had taken the time to create the potion while he was in the Mage Guild House, and now he saw fit to use it. With his thumb, he popped the lid off and quickly drank the potion. He winced at the bitter taste and tossed the empty vial aside.

Retuke has used his Zaju Venom. (That I just bought. )

By now, another Goblin was moving in on him. Retuke was ready. He stepped forwards quickly and hit the Goblin's wrist with his staff, knocking the attack wide.

The blade was knocked away and merely scratched Retuke's shoulder. He winced, stepping away. He began to cast a spell, lifting his staff up.
An pulse of orange energy suddenly launched from his staff's tip and flew towards the Goblin.

[Z, the slayer (dead)]

(I apologize for my BIG mistake(s). I realize that I didn't calculate burst. (life 6-3 burst=3 life) I also mixed up a thief ability, shadow something, with Escape and Avoidance, which really allows me to flee from ONE enemy if my agility is higher than his. Because of these stupid mistakes, I technically never fled, and I resume the battle with (unfortunately) HP:3/20 MP:0/0)

Z tried to get away from the charging goblins. One got too near, and Z slashed it with his dagger. It was the same one he just tried to flee from.

((ooc/ No worries, Z. The problem, actually, was that Apprentices (from any Guild) don't have any guild powers. They get the first on at Orderly. But anyway, if you have enough money, you could buy a Dragon Blood potion, Zaju Venom potion, or an Elixir. Or if you want, you can just keep out of the PvP fighting and just roleplay it. ))

Taj grabbed the tip of the Stickhands spear that had just attacked him and pulled it violently causing the Stickhand to fall over in the muddy snow..

Taj watched as the Icewind Goblin made good his escape and started up the chase..

They made it away from the main fight & Taj managed to tackle the Icewind to the ground, disarming & knocking him unconsious, Taj then dragged the Icewind leader's now limb body back to the caravan tied it up and resumed the battle,

He took out 3 Stickhands & 2 Icewinds before he came upon Retuke,

"Lets Finish this!, I have thier Leader for questioning.. The rest are a waste of space.." He spat the last as it was clear he had no likings towards Goblinkind..

[Malick Varian]

(I am speaking for both Malick and Z in this post because of my lack of time. This will probably be the last post for me in a while. I don't have much time on, so I will make this short.
Z dies. Boohoo. He gets stabbed in the back by a goblin at the last moment. Malick goes beserk, and cannot control his fury, so he is now controlled by the Hero Nemesis. After the battle has won, Malick carries Z's body down to Das Duul, where Malick plans to bury him. Malick will return in a few months to join the war against evil. See you then. By the way, I am offering Malick as an NPC located only in Das Duul, controlled by the Hero Nemesis. He has the same stats, except that he cannot die (He would just flee when his life gets low), and he is a True Neutral. If Nemesis doesn't want to do this, that's fine. c you guys in a few months. L8r!)

While Taj was securing the IceWind leader, the battle raged on. The Goblins pressed forwards, determined to take caravan and it's cargo. Z the Slayer was fighting bravely, fending off two goblins at once, but a third managed to sneak up behind him and stab him in the back. His body crumpled to the ground. Malick shouted and rage and released an arrow, killing the goblin instantly. He then rushed forwards to finish off the other two. Retuke was left alone in guarding the front of the caravan now, and goblins were coming in too quickly for him.

Suddenly, Taj leapt out of the caravan and split the skull of a stickhand, whirling around to take the head of another. An IceWind attacked him, but he blocked and sliced the goblin down. A few blows later, two more goblins lay dead on the ground.

Meanwhile, Retuke had kept pace with Taj, managing to take down another three IceWinds - one with his staff, and two with magic. Malick had also been busy. He had dispatched the two StickHands Z had been fighting, and had killed another IceWind afterwards.

The rest of the goblins were now fleeing. Their leader was captured, and the fighters were now fighting with a ferocity that they had not possessed before. Malick, still berserk from his friend's death, gives chase, picking the fleeing goblins off with his arrows as he runs.

The battle is over. Feel free to collect your BXP.

Mafasa stepped down from the caravan, his javelin dripping with goblin blood.
[orange]"We should get out of here, don't you think?"[/orange] he said to Taj and Retuke. Z was dead, and Malick was off chasing goblins. Mafasa didn't want to waste any time in exiting the mountains.

[Retuke]

Retuke stepped over the bodies of three goblins and watched as Malick returned up the road. He looked stricken with grief. Retuke felt for the Ranger Guild Master. He knew what it was like to lose friends. He may not have liked Z very much, but he was sorry he was dead.

After Malick wordlessly picked up Z's body and left, Retuke glanced over at Taj. The warrior was watching the Ranger Guild Master disappear into the distance, doubtless thinking about the promise Malick had gave him that the Rangers would help Lebonwaith against the goblins. Would Malick hold to that promise? Or would he forget in his grief?

"We should get out of here, don't you think?" Mafasa said, breaking the silence. Retuke looked up at him, then looked over at Taj, awaiting his reply.
"We should bring the IceWind you captured to Minas Rithes for questioning. Taj nodded in agreement.

[orange]"No!"[/orange] Mafasa shouted, startling Retuke. [orange]"I won't have some slimy Goblin scum in my caravan!"[/orange]

Taj began walking around the Caravan to where the IceWind Leader was tied up.

Retuke stepped around several more Goblin bodies, looking to see if any others were alive. None were. He was about to head back when something caught his eye. He bent down and pried a shortsword out of a Goblin's hand. It was most definitely not Goblin-made. It had the markings of a knight from Lebonwaith. The IceWind must've looted it from a dead knight.

Retuke kicked the Goblin body with his boot. A knight he probably killed himself. He ripped the sheath from the IceWinds belt and headed back to the caravan. He would keep the shortsword until he could return it to its proper owner; the knight's living kin.

By then, Taj had tied the IceWind Leader's hands to a rope that was attached to the rear of the caravan. Retuke boarded, and the caravan began rumbling back down the road.

They made the most of the rest of the day, traveling at a brisk pace, anxious to put the mountains behind them once and for all. By nightfall they reached an outpost where they spent the night, handing the Goblin leader over to the Warriors for questioning. From then on, it was smooth sailing into Lebonwaith.
